Undetected water damage such as that caused by leaking pipes or
corroded water heaters cost homeowners tens of thousands of dollars each year. These
repairs and replacements are time consuming and costly to correct.
GRI now introduces the AquAlert Water Sensor. Using absolutely no
moving parts, the AquAlert is triggered by a moisture bridge across the sensor contact. A
Normally Open sensor for an Open Loop, the AquAlert can be set to detect a layer of water
as minute as 1/16 of an inch in depth.
Requiring no external power, the AquAlert can be combined with any signaling device
available today that uses a closure to activate. This includes any existing alarm panel,
wireless transmitter, battery powered or hard wired sounder available on premises.
With no moving parts to wear out, the AquAlert will continue to protect against
troublesome and costly water leaks for years to come.(This switch is manufactured by
George Risk Industries, Kimball, NE.)
