ALL YOU REALLY NEED TO KNOW:

Girl using keypad ARMING AWAY - Your Code + AWAY (1234+2) - Use this when you're leaving your home or business, and no one else is there. The entire security system is activated.

DISARMING - Your Code + OFF (1234+1) - Turns off protection. It doesn't affect any fire protection you have, which is always on.

ARMING STAY - Your Code + STAY (1234+3) - Use this when you're home, but others in the family are not. It turns off inside motion detectors (so you can walk around), but your home is protected against an entry from the outside. Late arrivals have to disarm the system upon entering.

ARMING INSTANT - Your Code + Instant (1234+ 7) - Use this when everyone is in for the night. Again, you can walk around inside, but opening any protected door or window will cause an immediate alarm.

Open and close the door and window by clicking on them with the left mouse button.

ENTRY/EXIT TIME: After you arm your system, you usually have around 30-45 seconds to leave the house before it's "All Secure". When you come back - you also have some time to turn off the system before the alarm sounds. In this demo, the entry/exit time is set at 10 seconds... just to keep things moving.

Here's A Shortcut! - Using Quickarm, you can arm the system without entering your code. Just enter the pound (#) key and the arming function of your choice (Away, Stay, Instant).

PANIC: The keys on the left of your keypad let you call for help in case of a police, fire or medical emergency. The key must be held down for 3 seconds for an emergency signal to be sent.. By the way, to activate the demo panic keys - hold your left mouse button down for 3 seconds.

OTHER STUFF
BYPASS - Your Code + 6 + Zone (1234-6-02 bypasses zone 2) - This temporarily removes a protected point from the system, like a bedroom window on a hot night. Here's another way to bypass: open the window and enter your code and the bypass key (1234+6). The open window is automatically bypassed.

CHIME - Your Code + Chime (1234-9) - The system notifies you with a beep when a protected door or window is opened. To turn Chime off - Your Code + Chime (1234-9).

  • When you arm the system AWAY (1234+2) - after 10 seconds, the system is "ALL SECURE". Try opening the bedroom window. You will see it trigger the alarm. You can turn the alarm off with 1234+1.
  • Arm the system AWAY again. Wait for "ALL SECURE" Now open the front door. You now have time to disarm the system before the alarm sounds.
