Why would you need a panic, or "hold-up," button for your home?
We all recognize the fact that the local bank, and even the party store, need to have panic buttons.  But the need is just as real in the home.  Many home intrusions occur while the occupant is home.  When this occurs, the resident is at a tremendous disadvantage.  Often, he is asleep.  At best, he is able to call the police.  Most often, however, there is not time, and no opportunity, to get to a phone.  That's why portable panic alarm buttons are important in the home.
...And, not only do they afford protection in the home, but they protect you when you are outside your home as well.  Most portable units have a range of over one-hundred feet.  Some are effective a much greater distances.
The principle is simple:  At the first sign of an intrusion, or assault, you simply hit your panic button.   A loud siren sounds, which usually frightens away the intruder, and the police are quickly dispatched to your home.
